Wheat Straw
Wheat straw is the by-product that is left over after the wheat harvest, and by using it to make products for daily use is not only a zero waste option but most importantly it is planet friendly which helps eliminate the use of plastics for our daily lives. Wheat straw contains lignin. Lignin is the part of the plant that keeps it standing up. So it is similar to a tree trunk, but for smaller plants. Lignin is broken down by bacteria called Rhodococcus jostii, which is found in soil. The bacteria produces acid, which easily breaks down the lignin without the use of any artificially produced products. Once the lignin has been broken down, it is mixed with sugar to get in a shape that can then be moulded into forms like plates, cups and storage containers. The end product is 100% natural, sturdy, strong, is non-allergenic and does not contain any gluten.

Sugarcane Bagasse
Sugarcane Bagasse is a by-product of sugar cane fibre which is left after the juice has been extracted from the sugar cane. The leftover substance (bagasse) is kept wet and then blended with water to form a pulp. Natural additives are combined with the pulp, and it is then pressed into the shape of the kitchenware or packaging products required by applying pressure at high temperature. The result is a sturdy, microwavable, compostable food packaging product made from plant-based, renewable resources. Bagasse based products are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Bagasse products are natural fibre products and it biodegrades in 30-60 days. When bagasse products degrade, they provide natural ingredients back to environment since they are made from natural, organic and renewable materials. Bagasse products are perfect alternatives to petroleum based Styrofoam and plastic products which take thousands of years to degrade. Also Bagasse products are heat tolerant can even be put in the microwave or the freezer. Bagasse products hold liquids well and they are grease and cut resistant.
Bamboo Fibre
Bamboo materials are collected without harming the plants themselves. Bamboo products are made from the part of the plant called the sheath. This is the protective outer layer of the bamboo’s culm that grows in young plants. Once the plant hits a certain maturity point, the sheath then falls off. Once the sheath is collected, it is cleaned and boiled. The sheath is next laminated into the necessary thickness for the desired product. The sheath is then pressed and bonded into the required shape. The process involves no use of chemicals or toxins. What makes this process environmentally sound is that the sheath naturally falls as part of the bamboo’s growth process. It’s collected right after falling and with no harm done to the bamboo plants. If the sheath were to be left alone, it would simply be absorbed back into the ground. Bamboo plates and other dinnerware as well as containers are highly durable, microwave, oven and refrigerator safe, making them perfect to replace the single use plastics that are dangerous to our planet. Our Bamboo fibre based products designs are sleek and unique adding a touch of style and personality to all culinary creations.
